Little Canyon Inn

Little Canyon Inn is precious! The room was so comfortable and well-stocked. They had a specific bathroom towel for removing makeup (amazing), there was a coffee station with delicious creamer, and the back patio was so cute! The bed was super plush, too. Location-wise it’s perfectly situated between the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park and downtown Cañon City. We wish we would have booked a longer stay!

Every time we turned around we encountered another charming detail - the patio with fire table and propane heater, sun set over the distant purple mountains, bright yellow coffee maker, tiny fragrant handmade soaps, c-o-m-f-o-r-t-a-b-l-e bed, very modern and beautifully appointed bathroom, gorgeous fletching pattern on the doors, and frosted windows in the patio doors. The walking path out back satisfied our wildflower interests, and gave us plenty distance to stretch our legs. The location is optimal - off 50, but outside of town far enough to be quiet and see the stars at night. The perfect base for hiking, the Royal Gorge, visits to town. The hosts were there when we needed them, otherwise left us to ourselves - perfect. The patios are very private, but our neighbors' dog came by and gave an opening to meet the lovely young couple who owned him, which was very welcome. Cozy with amazing views! We stayed in room 2 for one night. The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean and had all the essentials. While the room was very cozy, we weren’t in it much because the views from the back patio and the prairie trail were so beautiful that they kept us outside. Located right in the middle of all the great attractions of the Royal Gorge and Arkansas River this location is perfect. We will absolutely be staying at the Little Canyon Inn again.

Fantastic roadside motel that has been very recently renovated and updated. Clean, comfortable, well appointed rooms with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Patio's with lounging chairs, heaters and gas fire pits, did i mention beautiful views? :-) Close to the Royal Gorge, Canon City and other local attractions. Yet remote enough that the evenings and mornings are quiet and serene with the sounds of the meadow birds. We were treated to a wonderful rainbow sunrise on our recent stay. Highly Recommend This Excellent Inn!!!

What a wonderful and unique place to stay in Canon City. Though it is a little inn, the bed was one of the best we’ve slept in and the room was cute and cozy. And getting up in the morning to open the back door, breathe fresh air and enjoy hearing the meadowlark sing while viewing the mountains was an exquisite experience. We took advantage of the hiking trail to stretch our legs after a long drive. The place is very clean, the owner warm and friendly, and it is only a short distance from the Royal gorge bridge and park, Skyline drive (a must), the Tunnel trail (great hike) and of course the depot for the train and Starbucks. You won’t regret this experience!
