“Well, I had to call Blackhawk PD to admit to accidentally damaging a piece of casino property while entering a parking garage. Officer Whitman was extremely kind and businesslike in processing my ticket. She was really very happy that I spoke with her instead of drawing out the process (giving her more work, and getting me in more trouble). Both officers that I spoke with were just great...hopefully the magistrate in Gilpin County is half as nice as these folks. Thank you to the Blackhawk police for turning an absolute nightmare into something more manageable. *Pro tip: if something bad happens, just be real with these folks. They'll be real with you.*”

“We visited 4 casinos in town and Saratoga was our favorite, it's not the biggest and it's not the most fancy but it was the most welcoming. My buddy is an amateur craps player and I have NO IDEA how to play the game, I watched as my buddy played but the dealer and the dice man were fantastic at explaining the game, the bets, and suggestions on what bets to play when for my friends success. I played about an hour of video poker, had some drinks and only ended up spending or loosing $30 for someone who doesn't gamble it was a great time.”

“I'm only giving 4 stars because we had to drive here from IL to be able to talk to a live person about our plans to have my daughter's wedding reception here in June. We had been calling since early Feb, leaving numerous messages on the automated system, with no return calls. Once here, we were very impressed with everything. We decided to sample the food while here & it was wonderful. We were presented with warm fresh baked oat & sunflower seed bread with two types of real butter; a plain & an herb. My daughter had the Sesame Encrusted Tuna appetizer; she said it was prepared perfectly. I had a bowl of Cream of Asparagus soup & the Chophouse salad; it was the perfect portion size for the price & very filling. The staff was very pleasant & helpful with our planning, offering seating suggestions & menu options. We are so excited to be having my daughter's reception here in June.”
