“Great spot for our Can-Am Maverick X3 Max. The local Polaris store, the gift store when you turn down the road going to it and the local U-Haul store in the town before sell maps for this trail. Not sure about the U-Haul but the stores that sell the maps are closed on Sundays. On the trails you only get a little reception at the parking lot other than that you're out of luck, no reception.”

“Teller County is in the mountains, small towns, most with no local police, just the Teller County Sherriff's. There's two court rooms, each with one DA, one person to handle a huge case load every day, so talking to the DA is like pulling teeth. Go to the office and talk to their assistants, the nicest people in the world and the most helpful!”

“What a fantastic little place to find on our way through Cripple Creek! We saw the other reviews and had to see it to believe it. Are these the best subs you'll ever have? Probably not. But are they the best subs you'll find anywhere for a long, long ways? Absolutely. Super fresh ingredients, very good bread, friendly staff, and the combination of light Italian dressing and pesto on the sub was perfect. Wish my picture did it more justice.”

“I didn't stay here but walked past during the Ice Festival. It seems they're working on renovations to bring this piece of history back to life! I hope they really put 100% effort into this because the basic design of the building can turn into into a historic landmark like Hotel Colorado. Love cripple creek and what they're doing even if it is more of a gambling town like Black Hawk or Central City. They still preserving what true America was, Ambitious. Look forward to seeing this place open and staying a couple nights !!!”

“So I was riding my electric bike (I'm visually impaired due to a brain tumor) on the way to guffey canyon to pick up any trash and enjoy the beauty, the battery on the bike failed and caught fire. A friendly neighbor happened by and helped me put dirt on the fire. The response of the volunteers was rather prompt and the EMS people were top notch. She even asked if I needed a blood glucose check as I'm type 1 Diabetic! All in all fantastic help from dedicated people. A+ and thank you!”

“Can’t say enough good things about McGills hotel/casino. Shout out to Andrew, the head chef at both Dynamite Dick’s and McGill’s Pint & Platter. He did an executive meal for my wife and I that was a perfect 10. His passion for that meal was obvious from the opening plate.(pi’s saladier (the savory ur-pizza from Provence) to the butter-seared haddock on a yellow beet purée with steamed Belgian endive, through Colorado lamb chops, to the awesome chocolate pot-au-feu with raspberries and crème chantilly. It topped $500 meals we’ve had at high end resorts. Also, everyone on staff, in every department were just super. They make this Colorado-style establishment a place we totally love. Added plus: the drive up State road 67 is gorgeous at any time of the year. The dudes at the DOT keep it plowed and safe in winter.”

When I really needed help, he made a lot of phone calls and just went out of his way to try and get me in the help I needed. Now all those Specialists he called didn't exactly return phone calls... I already knew Dr. Elliott, and he was open to new patients, but he also encouraged me to look around the community and make sure I chose someone with whom I was truly comfortable. I found that honesty refreshing, but it was an easy decision. He and his crew have taken great care of me for the last several years, and I appreciate that he always tells me what I need to hear, which is not always what I want to hear. And for me, just as important as his skill as a dentist is the quality of his character.”

Lots to look at & the gift shop was tastefully stocked with some great stuff at very reasonable prices. Jack Dempsey (the boxer) even stayed here for a quick minute.”

“We recently hired Ken and his team at Nor’easter to repair and paint our house which had not been painted for at least 10 years. We had siding falling off in a few places and leaks from not maintaining it properly and had asked for a quote to do all necessary repairs which included replacing of damaged siding and trim, fixing ply board under roof where it had rotted, and sealing underside of siding with silicone for better protection. They gave such a reasonable and affordable quote and also offered 2 coats of exterior paint which other companies did not and they actually went above and beyond what we were expecting... their crew were meticulous and actually did 3 coats on our trim and were so understanding when I added more work by changing colors on the garage. Ken and his team asked for feedback throughout the process and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with every minute detail on the trim, siding, garage and repairs. They cleaned after each day of work and we were so happy with the results and will probably use them again for interior work in the near future. Highly recommend with no reservations!!!”
