“It seems like wherever you turn in Greeley, there’s a nationally accredited, corporate bank or credit union on every corner waiting to take your money and sell you a plethora of products you more than likely don’t need. Trust me, for years I’d been a customer at two of these places referred to above and had begun to regularly avoid even making a deposit with a teller simply because I didn’t want to be hassled again and again to: open a line of credit, take out a second or talk to an investment banker. Feeling as if you’re just another number and ultimately that your financial institution doesn’t have your best interests at heart isn’t the way banking should be, ever. After expressing my frustration to a friend one day, she suggested that I give her bank, FMS, a try. Needless to say, I too am now a customer of this rare gem that is a true “community bank”. Although you may not find a clear definition in Webster’s Dictionary as to what a community bank is, the power and significance of the term is clear now that I’ve made the switch here. My previous two financial institutions liked to talk about “relationships” until I needed something the bank didn’t provide OR the person you were being “served” by didn’t want to take the extra time to help you with it because there was no commission in it for them. In the more than twenty years I’d spent banking there, I often heard other customers voice complaints to the ever-changing staff behind the counter that went somewhat like, “I’ve had a relationship with this bank for many years, and you can’t or won’t help me with this?” only to receive an insincere response of “No, I’m very sorry.” followed-up by some sort of cheesy sales pitch with a fake smile. Completely different at FMS Bank! From the second you walk into their lobby, it’s evident that this bank puts client relationships first. You are sincerely greeted by TRUE, local banking professionals who not only look like bankers, but actually possess the knowledge of what it entails to BE a banker, not just someone who’s handed what was once regarded as a prestigious title and only sees you as a possible sale. If you have a question and need to call in, there’s no waiting, no talking to someone halfway around the globe you’ll never see in person ... nope, you get YOUR banker who’s actually AT your bank and familiar with you! If you’re searching for a new bank for your personal or business interests in Greeley, I highly recommend paying FMS a visit - you won’t be sorry!”
