Superior work! A true family owned business where they value honesty, community and good hard work! A great place for an oil change or a complete restoration specializing in the air cool systems of the VW.
No other place besides Freccia Brother's!
Freccia Brothers is amazing, they made my '72 Ghia run like new. I've owned the car for 9 years, shipped it to three states. When it arrived in Brooklyn I started looking for a good mechanic, Frank far exceeds that. I was grinning ear to ear driving away, it's never driven or sounded better!!! Super friendly, honest and fair. If you have an older VW don't go anywhere else.
This is the mechanic shop of your dreams, especially if your dreams seem to obsess in the area of older VW's of like every make and model!!
I brought-in my 1979 Scirocco Mk1, which I had literally just purchased that same day in Greenwich CT, and (randomly while waiting for the tow truck), googled if there was any VW-focused mechanics in the area...... and WOW is there ever!!
This cute family-run shop, has been around forever, and the whole cute family works there, including a few cute shop dogs who greet you with sniffs to make sure 'you're cool'. Master Mechanic "Frank" has been around the block, knows his stuff like a jedi and he was actually excited to see my rare water cooled scirocco pull-in. (most mechanics get scarred!!)
He worked his magic on the car, staying in good communication and BOY did he do a great job!!
The car cooks like-new and is so much fun!! I'm actually really impressed. Although I live 1.5 hours away.... they got me as a customer for sure!! Highly recommend!!
I can't say enough about Frank and Dave. I've been taking a '75 bus that I recently purchased there to get a bunch of work done. They've done minor fixes all the way to top half engine rebuild. They are always so helpful in explaining things to me and giving me options. They are never pushy about anything and are extremely honest. I know for sure they've done extra work on the bus and haven't charged me for it.
There are places closer to me I can take it then my 45-60 min drive there but I would never change.
If I had more then 5 stars to give I would! If you have any vehicle with an air cooled engine don't take it anywhere else!
The absolute premier shop for your vintage needs. I brought in my 66' beetle buggy. When no one else could figure out why it wasn't running right, The Freccia Brothers diagnosed and fixed the issue in a matter of hours.
Had front end suspension work as well as electrical work done & could not be more pleased with the craftsmanship.
The price point is absolutely reasonable as well!
I highly recommend this shop!!!
