“Good place to go to workout, jog, playground for kids, swim, tan, etc. Also you can ride a bike or whatever around in the lanes or walk in the walk lane. Its pretty beautiful and safe. Water fountains in case you run out of water and bathrooms can be found as well. There is also a restaurant there that serves snacks.”

“I'd like to hear here from other people who have enjoyed playing in Sleepy Hollow Park. I lived a block away at 112 Leeuwarden up to 1968. That place is gone now. In winter the families would stop up the little concrete dam and we'd play ice hockey and learn to skate. I remember when the paddle tennis courts were built. They were much easier to play at in the winter. Regular tennis on the 1 big court was too hard with snow to shovel then. I remember around December 20s having a open fire in a fire pit next to the big tennis court and drinking hot chocolate with the neighbors. There's a steep hill next to the entrance to the park. Well steep when I was 6 years old. A few of us would nail together sort of soap box platforms and roll down that hill. I learned how to build a better box with 2 by 2s than the rotted 2x4s left over from tearing the porch off the house I grew up in there. Leeuwarden was extended from the big boulder in about 1950. I was about 1 year old then. There were box turtles on the dirt road in front of my parents house.”

“It's not a very big or very public place, however the center part where the flowers/plants are needs a better maintenance. Some need some more water and definitely more color. Other than that it's ok for a quiet visit.”

“Impeccable. It’s amazing to have something this new and architecturally important nearby. The philosophy library is amazing... they had so many great books. I love that they have non-denominational services here. And moms groups. The food is amazing.”

“This is really called Shongalla Park - not to be confused with Dundee Woods which is across the street behind the Dundee School”
