We had a tree fall on our property, so I told my wife this proved we needed a chainsaw. I knew the Stihl name as perhaps the leading manufacturer of chainsaws. I also knew that they only sold through a network of authorized equipment dealers, and not the big box stores, where the associates spend their entire shifts avoiding customers as much as possible, while congregating in corners and staring into their phones. This was important to me for such a purchase. I never owned a chainsaw before, and had only operated one a few times. I had done some research online, and had an idea what I wanted. I met Phil, who greeted me right away, and began providing me expert sales assistance. It was so nostalgic. Although I kinda new what I wanted, Phil presented me options, and helped me make the most educated decision for me. Then Phil didn’t just ring me up. He registered my warranty, and organized all my documentation and manual, and gave it to me in a folder. Then, he took me outside and ran me through everything I needed to know to run the saw safely, first and foremost, but also effectively, and how to maintain it. I had also watched some tutorials, as I always do, but Phil sent me on my way feeling informed and confident. I went right home and went to work cutting up the tree blocking my driveway. I should also mention, the MS 180, which was great for my homeowner tasks, was an incredible value too. I didn’t expect I could get a tool like that for the price. Thanks, Phil.
