“This area is a grand combination of a park, a camp ground, a strip of oceanside beach just made for surfing, and an additional dedicated beach that allows drive-on with a surf fishing permit. I’m saying it’s 5 golden stars in my world because the seasons, tides, winds and weather allow us to experience the earth, sky and sea in this unique place. The Indian River Bridge spans the inlet and creates an overhead arc that frames the coming and going of boats, bikers, surfers and nature lovers from the Indian River inlet to the Atlantic Ocean. An amazing place to walk, picnic, beach sit, fish, and just observe a sunrise, a sunset and all the time in between. Stunningly awesome.”

“Quiet little park perfect to take the dog for a walk. We've even seen the park's namesake animals which seems impressive given the closeness of surrounding homes.”

“Beautiful lake with a walking path. The playground is nicely kept up and has one big climbing structure, a few slides, a few swings, some springy rocking horse style toys, and a few shaded picnic tables. A welcome change of pace from the sun and crowds at the beach.”

“We love Big Oaks Campground. We take tent sites or cabins. If we take tent sites we prefer with the ones with electricity and water. You must mention what you need right away. Last time we came I asked for a tent site with electric outlet assuming it will have water too, but it didn't. We survived))) The campground is usually quite. Whenever we came we hadn't been bothered by neighbors meaning there were no loud talks, no music. Bathrooms are good.”

“Beautiful beach! I saw a bunch of dolphins and it was nice to be able to bring my friend's dog with us. Only downside is that the only restrooms are portable toilets and there's no trash cans.”
