The U.S. National Arboretum was established in 1927 by an Act of Congress, which is administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service. The Arboretum has 446 acres with 9.5 miles of winding roadways. The Asian Collections is one of its major gardens. If you love plants, this is a must-see in the Washington D.C. area.
