“I was baptized in 194 by Rev. Jerry Moore. I have been a life member. I serve as Deaconess and Vacation Bible School Teacher. I have served as Assistant Church Clerk (10yrs.), Usher (5 yrs.), Breast Cancer Month speaker (4 yrs.). I enjoy our Pastors way of presenting The Word. The atmosphere at Nineteenth Street is of family and love of each other. The children and teens' active participation of my church is phenomenal. Ushers show a feeling if genuine warmth as anyone enters the church and sanctuary. I have heard these comments over the years as church clerk and serving as an usher. As a deaconess at Nineteenth Street, i have many obligations. My most rewarding is serving our shut in and sick members; offering them a work of prayer and the communion sacrement. They are so happy to talk with the members of the team as after prayers, we talk with them about their healing and give updates on what's happening at church. My affiliation with this wonderful church gives me peace and understanding of God's role in my life.”
