Washington National Cathedral

Address: 3101 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC 20016, USA

Church

“Washington National Cathedral is an awe-inspiring architectural masterpiece that showcases exquisite craftsmanship and rich history. The grandeur and beauty of this iconic landmark are truly remarkable. The Gothic architecture, intricate stained glass windows, and stunning stone carvings make for a visually captivating experience. The cathedral's role as a place of worship, prayer, and reflection adds to its significance. The regular services and special events held here offer visitors a chance to engage in spiritual contemplation. The guided tours provide insightful information about the cathedral's history, religious significance, and its role in American culture. The knowledgeable guides offer valuable context and answer questions with enthusiasm. However, my visit was slightly marred by the high number of visitors, which made it challenging to fully immerse in the tranquil atmosphere. Additionally, some areas were undergoing restoration, limiting access to certain parts of the cathedral. Overall, the Washington National Cathedral is undeniably worth visiting for its architectural beauty and historical importance. With a more controlled visitor flow and completed restorations, it would have been an even more exceptional experience. A solid 4-star rating for this iconic cultural and spiritual landmark.”

“There is just something special, unique, wonderful and very spiritual about every service at Capitol Hill SDA Church. The reason I kept returning to CHSDA is because of the welcoming/usher team at the door. They were so awesome when I first went to the church, I became drawn to this church family. Of course the music and sermons are also second to none. Visit if you can and you should ever find yourself in the nation's capitol.”

National Presbyterian Church

Address: 4101 Nebraska Ave NW, Washington, DC 20016, USA

Church

“I played a Memorial Day concert here. The organ and organist were magnificent, and the stained glass in the sanctuary is stunning. The sound was surprisingly clean and projected well, and the venue was an excellent temperature (not too cold like some!!) Only con was a lack of space up front, we had a small string ensemble up where the altar would have been, the organ was off to the side, a full choir stood behind me in the bass section, and timp and brass were off to the side. Soloists had to stand *behind* the conductor, which was not at all ideal. So, for ensembles wishing to perform here, keep it small or make sure that everyone who is able to stands to maximize the space!”

“This is a very small church but the Spirit of God is there so it felt like a mega church to me. The people there are friendly and welcoming. The Pastor there is different than some Pastors that I have experienced. Her name is Apostle Yvette Ross and she allows the Spirit of God to move in the church. No choir and no musicians but I am there for God anyway not all of distractions that come with most churches today. If you want God, then visit Revelation Knowledge Kingdom Church.
