“Anacostia Neighborhood Library is a really nice library. It's recently renovated offering a beautifully designed community gathering place for Ward 7 and 8. Once inside, you can find thousands of books, DVDs, and plenty of seating to read. They also have small conference rooms and private working offices for those who need intense quiet. They have a computer lab for free for people to check their emails and do work requiring the Internet. They host a variety of community events and even have a Capital Bikeshare just outside the front door to encourage commuting.”

“In a city full of stunning monuments and memorials, it's hard for buildings to compare. However, often the DC public libraries outshine the best monuments. Woodridge Library is no exception. Here's why: 1) Architecture: It's stunning! Three levels there's an open circular space leading up to the ceiling with a mini amphitheater on the ground floor for people to gather and/or read books. On the very top floor, there's a large outdoor patio with tables, wifi, and a great view of the city. It's designed in a way that puts the natural light on showcase. 2) Collection: With three levels, they have thousands of books, magazines, DVDs, etc. There's a large area for children and plenty of computers for the public. If you are in the area, stop by one of their daily events. If you're into photography, the third floor patio is a prime location for a shoot.”

“Great improvement! Very helpful staff. The gentleman at the desk (even) faxed my papers off for me, while teaching me how. Very clean as well”

“Great little neighbourhood library. Very helpful staff. I have not seen rude patrons or loud people. They do great activities for children , my daughter and I go here every week and she loves it. Books are available from other libraries to be brought to Rosedale.”

“Very good selection of books and movies, and there are plenty of options for kids as well. There is a good amount of space for patrons to sit down and read or work on computers, but the overall size of the library is rather small. Either way, a definite go to place for a good read, a great movie, or Internet access.”

“The staff is really helpful. Granted the individuals visiting the library are not as polite I would have appreciated.”

“A great space for kids and adults alike although many popular book series' are often checked out without replacements available as in there is only one copy of each book. I also warn that their audio book collection is very limited. In general I think it is perfect for the community and will continue to use it.”

“A lovely new library. Fantastic staff and resources. A quiet place to read and study. Reserve a reading room for small groups up to four, maybe five people. Or, use the conference room for up to a dozen or so participants. DC Library System card holders can use computers, or laptops, and print as well.”
