“Stopped here after biking to the Lincoln memorial from Virginia. Was glad there was a snack shop that offered some different options. Of course because it's next to the monument, you're paying much more for the food, but when you've been touring for several hours, you'll be thankful it's there. Lines go relatively fast.”

“Great location, helpful and friendly staff. Drinks are normally done very quickly, though sometimes I've been there when it was busy and there were a few of us who were waiting way too long for easy drinks (Americano, etc). My biggest complaint is the volume of the music. It is oppressively loud (and no, I'm not 70 years old). Every single time I've been in here the music has been up so loud that it's hard to concentrate. Plus, the music isn't exactly what I think of when I think of "coffee house music." It is usually pretty high tempo and energy. Never heard a calming song while I was in here. At the risk of sounding like a geriatric, please turn the music down and I could give this location 5 stars.”

“So. Good. My boyfriend is a bit picky about his Chinese takeout (he lived in China for a few years, to be fair), but he LOVED this place! Their dumplings are amazing. Singapore noodles are the bomb. Fried rice is killer. Do it.”

“Great little local shop with most of the essentials plus great coffee. Extensive wine selection as well as a good assortment of cheeses. Super nice employees and a pleasant place to sit both inside and on the patio.”

“Small selection isn't a problem here. Went for breakfast sandwiches a few times, and they are very tasty and quick. Good coffee and a cozy nook to eat in, unless you sit on the patio if it is nice out. Also a great little grocery store with mostly local and natural foods. Good spot to pick up some local beers and wine.”

“This restaurant is fantastic. I stop frequently for coffee and pastries to go and bring my family on Sundays for breakfast before the Palisades farmer's market. The staff are friendly and hard-working. All of the menu items that we have tried are delicious. In 6 months of regular visits, we have had only exceptional experiences. This is exactly the sort of place that was needed in the neighborhood.”

“This little spot is a great addition to the neighborhood. There aren't many vendors here but there's a strong variety of what's offered, from tacos to sandwiches to Ethiopian bowls. There's a small bar in the back and coffee/ice cream up front which makes it a reliable stop for almost anything you're looking for. When I went only a couple of the vendors had staff behind the counter which caused some confusion as to whether or not it was open, but all things considered I'd be interested in coming back for a quick bite or drink.”

“Lots of great lunch options. The Chinese food is very good and so is the salad bar. They also have a little deli that makes very good sandwiches. The soups options are very good as well. I would recommend to stay away from the sushi.”

“Incorporates gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian diets. Buffet style lunch line. Around 20 tables that sits 4 chairs comfortably. Come before noon though because the line can extend from out the door due to large groups.”

“Considering the volume of business that this location handles, the service was good, the food was hot and tasted good. I don't even like McDonald's. But, in a pinch, it worked out.”

“The prices at the Courtyard Cafe are a little high (as with any place to eat in virtually any museum in DC), but it's a great spot to grab a coffee and do some writing or work on a laptop. The courtyard in the Portrait Gallery is one of the best spots in DC, hands-down.”
