“One of the many hidden gym is in the district of Columbia. This part boasts biking past and running past as well as lots amounts of green space for the locals in those that know where to go. Great space for family gatherings down the summertime due to its proximity to the route 50 Corridor. One must be careful in the grasslands area after rainfalls. You will walk away with muddy shoes!”

“I love taking my pup to this trail. Optimal free parking on the side street before going down the entrance. Sadly, I've been seeing trash starting to pop up, but before the summer really hit it was clean as a whistle. Small sand bank available to stand around while letting your dog rip through the river. If you go right past the bridge, you'll find another great opening to take your dog for a swim. I like going before 8 am for a walk to worry less about having my dog on leash.”

“So many pass these on their daily commutes, but how many walk right up to these beautiful gold statues to appreciate their massiveness? They are worth checking these out if your're visiting the Lincoln Memorial. You'll also get great views of the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and the Robert E. Lee House down the Arlington Memorial Bridge across the river in Virginia.”

“Absolutely loved my time here. I made a quick visit one day and made sure I came back again. It was really fun to see plants from different climates, desert, tropical, temperate. Loved to see plants like banana and vanilla that I had heard of but never seen. The gardens outside are fantastic and great for sitting and relaxing. There are good resources for learning as well.”

“I watched this nest and the new eaglets last year, and it was wonderful. Fascinating to watch the adults share care and feeding of the offspring, and watching the eaglets learn how to fly brought tears to my eyes. Highly recommend.”

“This is one of the coolest parts of the National Arboretum. There are hundreds of different types of herbs arranged into categories such as medicinal, colonial, Native American and more. Each herb is labeled and many have a description of their uses with historical facts. It’s really cool to learn about and many of the herbs smell amazing!”
