(May 6, 2018, 12:38 pm)Glassskinz patent pending Bakkdraft will really make your C7 Corvette stand out with exotic and aggressive styling. This one addition definitely turns heads and its made in the USA!
I requested carbon flash metallic (the same color as the factory hood vent, grille, and lower rear bumper). Any body shop will tell you Carbon Flash is the most difficult Corvette color to get right. Glassskinz color match was 100% spot on..perfect match.
Installation took less than ten minutes including glass prep. Make sure your glass is clean with no polish, wax, or Rain X for proper adhesion (rubbing alcohol or Invisible Glass or Spray Away glass cleaner work great). Take the adhesion promoter (included) and draw a line around the glass about a 1/2 inch wide. Pull the middle tabs off...you'll use them for basic holding and alignment. Next, lay on your glass and make sure it is properly aligned. Pop the hatch and lift it up to ensure no interference. Close the hatch and when alignment is correct, begin removing the adhesive tabs...one by one pulling tight and close to the louvers. After each tab is pulled, stop and check your alignment. Because the tabs are in sections, you can actually realign if you mess up...nice engineering touch! Press down around the perimeter. Done! Let it cure for 24 hours before washing your car.
There is NO rattling and fit and finish was excelllent. Visibility is excellent too. The louvers have been tested to 175mph with no issues. Mine will be professionally tested to well over 200mph when my build is completed.
All in all, two thumbs way up for Glassskinz...highly recommended! Thank you Steve for the outstanding quality, personalized service, and help with the install.
