“South Florida's rich culture was easily absorbed after experiencing the old home on the property. It's decorated the same as it was nearly 100 years ago and you can walk through to experience it yourself. The guides inside the home are very friendly and tell you stories about the property and those who loved there. The scheduled trolley takes you aroud the property and they explain the plants, fruit trees, animals, landscape and indigenous who once resided on the land. There are birds and animals everywhere. It was a lovely experience. The bear on the property was obviously hot and ubcomfortable as the climate is not suitable for bears. Though it's been domesticated and can't be released into the wild, it would probably fair better in a cooler climate. The snack bar could do with additional options to bring in more revenue but apart from that, it's a lovely spot to visit for both locals and visitors”

“Yes, this is an actual photo I took while there. Was at Flamingo Gardens for an outside wedding. It was beautiful. Staff was very attentitve. Wild life was abundant with amazing botanicals. Really a serene and enjoyable atmosphere.”

“I am now a member of Flamingo Gardens which means that I must stop by the Nursery on my way home, mostly to have a lunch of the best Louisiana Barbecue this side of that state! Barry is the owner, and had his cooker shipped directly to him here so he could serve up the best beef brisket I have ever had. Skip the review that talked of a soggy bun - what can you expect when you have pulled pork so tender and yet dripping with natural juices! If you call ahead, Barry will wrap you up a chunk of beef brisket with the juices to take home for dinner as well.”

“Took Tyler’s bonsai workshop today. I’ve always loved his bonsai area of the nursery and wanted to take the class before purchasing and owning a bonsai tree. Even before the class, Tyler was open to sharing his passion and knowledge of this wonderful art form in such a genuinely caring way. An extremely knowledgeable, patient, and easygoing person, Tyler by far has the best stock of bonsai trees in Florida as well as being a fantastic teacher who will share everything he knows about his wonderful trees.
