“I had two problems with my boat. 1) shore power was not powering anything on the boat or charging the batteries despite having 240V at the dock ( European boat), 2) port-side battery switch was not operating, it was on a permanent ON state. Based on a recommendation from a neighbor, I contacted 816 to solve both issues. Andreas was quick to respond and fit me in the schedule the next day so I did not run the risk of letting the batteries die. He arrived, diagnosed and solved the issues within the same day, and with very high quality work. The box that contains the battery switches in the engine compartment of my boat ( Cranchi 43 ) is particularly small, which forced Andreas to remove a lot of the connections in order to replace the broken switch. By the time he was done, everything was working perfectly and the box and all the connections inside were perfectly organized, it looked like new. It is challenging to find someone trustworthy and reliable, and this is what you get with Andreas. He delivers great workmanship and provides a sense of confidence that the work being done is done properly. I fully recommend 816 Marine Electric, fast, organized and very fair. “update: July-06-2022 Talked with this location and I mistakenly picked the 10x20 unit when I thought I had a 10x15 and that's why the price was different - 100% on me. Changing my review to 5 stars. I love how clean the unit is but the experience was a bit poor. Doing everything online was supposed to give me a discount and it didn't. When I showed up to the office to get my keys I waited about 20 minutes for the clerk to get off a call only to find out they put the lock in the unit so I waited for nothing. The clerk was very nice but the experience was not five stars.”
