If your looking to book a Golf Weekend, I highly recommend The Chaz. We had (14) guys staying and everyone had a fantastic time. Ann is the manager and did an AWESOME job taking care of our group. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out, watch football, play cards, outside firepit and cornhole. Very clean throughout the entire hotel and comfortable beds. Also recommend getting the hot breakfast, which was great and also helped get a couple of stragglers out of bed with the smell of coffee and bacon :). Tons of golf courses to choose from within a 30 minute drive. Entire group enjoyed Brooksville Country Club (especially the back 9 layout).
We came to see mermaids at Weeki Wachee and found this beautiful slice of southern charm -circa 1905. Chaz-a-whisky is an absolute gem and I recommend staying here.
We had two nights and found lots to do and see on site and both north and south of the Hotel. Publix and Walgreens are nearby, but you will feel more like you are staying on a state park in a historic landmark.
Inside decor pays homage to the hotel's angler past and there is a very nice library of fishing literature.
Wi-Fi and a TV were included in our room and being August, in Florida, the central AC was so nice. We had drinks on the upstairs balcony and sat old fashion rocking chairs. Views of the live oaks, palms, and sounds of cicadas was our nightly entertainment. I really couldn't believe there were no bugs at all, not one mosquito!
Ann is an amazing host, excellent and responsive.
During our stay at Chassahowitzka Hotel, we experienced a truly unforgettable and rejuvenating nature-filled escape in Florida. The hotel's ideal location near the Chassahowitzka River provided ample opportunities for outdoor water kayaking, and we were delighted to encounter a graceful manatee during one of our excursions. The Seven Sister Springs was an absolute gem, offering breathtaking natural beauty and an incredible spot for swimming and snorkeling.
The hotel's accommodations was spacious and perfectly suited for our group of five couples and four kids. The community-style living room and kitchen brought everyone together. Fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for any family or friends' group reunion or wedding party.
The hotel's dedication to preserving the natural surroundings and providing easy access to Florida's captivating nature was commendable. We felt deeply connected to the environment during our stay, which made it all the more special.
We had an amazing stay at the Chassahowtzka Hotel. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. We went with a big group of friends and their kids. There were plenty of rooms for all of us, and we loved that we could congregate downstairs in the massive dining table and the comfortable family room with couches and a tv. The hotel was in a great location, just minutes from a Publix and Walgreens and walking distance from where you rent the kayaks and go kayaking. We loved our stay there, and we look forward to coming again!
My husband and I recently rented the entire hotel for our 70th birthday party celebration. Because most of our guests were from out of town, we were able to put them up at the hotel as well as have the party there. We loved everything about the experience! Kim and her staff went above and beyond to give us an unforgettable experience. The hotel and it’s location gave everyone the “old Florida” feel…warm, homey, casual, friendly. Our family and friends who stayed at the hotel raved about the comfortable accommodations, and especially about the front porch and rocking chairs!!
