We went on a birthday date, and it was such a success! If any complications showed up, very considerate accommodations were quickly offered, so we could go back to the fun. The history was fantastic and thorough, the soundtrack was fire, and the tour guide capt tyler was very personable and funny making it all feel very chill and fun. If you’re super introverted it’s still a blast- just put on the headphones and enjoy the nature :)
I wouldn’t have changed a thing, even with the expectation of a lack of wildlife, due to going out in December- and I think it ended up perfect because somehow we still saw yellow bellied turtles of all sizes, many gators (which was so surprising for the weather), oh and capt tyler even spotted a moccasin chilling up in a tree we got to go see that too. And a super underrated hobby- BIRDWATCHING. The variety of gorgeous birds here in Florida is mesmerizing. We saw many many beautiful birds just chillin sunning themselves they looked so regal. Omg and there was a sunken small ship!
If you’ve got kiddos, They still get the headphones but I would recommend sticking little gummy ear plugs in under their headphones still too- that fan is loud and tiny eardrums equals ouch.
If you like the outdoors, animals, history, being on the water and possibly being willing to get a bit wet- then this will be a great experience for all.

We were there today in Jacksonville leaving from the marina. We loved it esp Captain Tyler. He was very informative, nice and funny. Loved the music too. The only thing that was disappointing was the guy answering the phone. We were having a hard time finding a place to park. He kept telling us to read what was on the site with where we meet and we still couldn't find anything. We ended up parking far away and didn't realize we would have to do that. He could've been more helpful instead of reminding us that the boat will leave on time and we need to be there. I have heath problems that affect my legs and it was challenging walking fast to get there. Just thankful Tyler was our caption and guide. So professional. As a business owner myself I would never leave my clients just hanging to figure it out. Glad our car was still there where we parked. It's a long way back to Michigan.
