(May 28, 2022, 9:13 pm)I live in Sarasota I took my vintage 1911 Colt 45 70 series to a local shop to get a stripped bushing fixed. Instead I got back was the same problem and it wasn’t fixed. I brought it to several other shops that didn’t seem confident or just uninterested in fixing my Colt 45. I took a chance and called Deep River Customs and talked to owner operator and had a good talk. I drove out to Spring Hill from Sarasota to let him look at my Colt 45. He said he could fix it no problem. I’m happy to say after years of searching I have found my gunsmith. I will give him all my work from now on. Deep River Custom has great gunsmith ant more than fair prices.
