Archaeopteryx Birding and Nature Tours

I had the opportunity to do a full-day tour in the Orlando area with Beck from Archaeopteryx and it was fantastic! I got to see many of the specialty Florida birds and learn a lot about Florida natural history as well. Beck was super knowledgeable and a great guide. I highly recommend Archaeopteryx for birding tours!

Last September, I had the pleasure of doing several one-day birding trips in mid-Florida. Beck guided the tours; she is an incredibly knowledgeable and kind guide. We were able to see a wide range of birds, and Beck was able to identify every bird, even the most (for me) obscure ones. She was always willing to go the extra mile to see the birds I wanted to get on my list.

Great trip, and well organised! Beck accommodated my young family extremely well and managed to get us out to some sites to see some fantastic birds and other wildlife. Beck's ability to pick out birds by sound is outstanding.

On top of the bird watching, Beck offered great company and managed to find a great Mexican for lunch which gave us a little rest bite from the Florida heat before heading out for a few more local sightings.

The whole experience was excellent and we will be back when we return to Florida

During the course of my full day tour, Becky spoke elegantly, and honestly. She provided much knowledge of the both the beauty and biodiversity of central Florida, as well as the challenges faced to preserve it.

We booked a full day tour with Beck on December 27th hoping to get 7 new year birds to hit our 400 species target. Beck more than delivered for us! We managed to get 20 new year birds, 18 of which were lifers for us. She took us to some beautiful spots which I would love to go back and explore at a more casual pace. Highly recommended, would definitely book again.
