Dr. Weinkle's amazing talent as a surgeon took me from barely being able to see to not needing any glasses or contacts at all! Due to my severe nearsightedness and astigmatism I depended on bulky glasses and uncomfortable rigid contacts throughout my life. At 52, I developed cataracts which left vision at any distance unbearably blurry. I was referred to Dr. Weinkle to have cataract surgery. He was understanding of my frustration. He took the time to evaluate my vision thoroughly and show me options to help correct all of my problems. In less than 2 months from my first consultation with him I am free of glasses and contacts! I can see from the time I wake up until the time I go to sleep with nearly 20/20 vision.

Thanks to Dr. Weinkle and the Manatee Surgery Center, this 78-year-old guy can read like a teenager again. No contacts, no glasses needed. I recently had cataracts in both eyes replaced with intraocular lenses, and while I was expecting some improvement I had no idea it would be this great. Everything is brighter and clearer. He explained my options for new lenses and helped me to decide on the best ones. The whole process was made easier by his office staff and the nurses and doctors at the surgery center.
