Jiggs Landing

We found this hidden gem recently. We appreciated the free entry and free parking. This little preserve sits on a reservoir that is fed by the Braden River. I bet there is some good fishing here. You can rent boats and kayaks but we did not. Instead we sat under this shaded picnic area and listened to live music. They sell beer, wine and snack type food. Prices were good. The restrooms were clean. It makes for a very relaxing afternoon.

Water activity is the main thing you can do here, which I recommend, kayaking was fun, lots of birds around here. Some days of the week they have live music. you can make a campfire and enjoy some beers. That burger was my dinner, very delicious but a bit pricey for not having at least something on the side.

The place is neat and clean. There was live music going on all day on St Patrick's Day. We launched our kayaks and spent 6 hours on the Braden River. We saw tons of basketball sized turtles and four gators. It was a very nice paddle and the water is clean and the river is wide and current is very slow.

Great place to kayak and fish !! Nice boat ramp and kayak launch. Nice facilities, bait shop and has cabins also. It's a short paddle to the Braden River. Plenty of wildlife and I spotted a couple gators! Caught a few bass.

We loved this place. I look forward to returning. It is a hidden gem and may require a little bit of extra effort to find, but you will not be disappointed! We enjoyed our morning coffee. I had an egg muffin and my husband enjoyed a brunch burger. Service was fast. We were the first ones to arrive and were greeted warmly by the staff. We ate at high tops overlooking the boats and water. People were walking their dogs and we enjoyed chatting with the musician about his gig and the adorable historic cabins available for overnight rentals. This place is a piece of old Fla.updated with modern facilities. A great place to launch kayaks, canoes and fish.
