Beautiful place for a airb&b or marriage setting and family events..

My daughter Madison gets married there Saturday. Today we had 15 out of town friends stay there. It is a huge & meticulously decorated house on the water. We couldn't have picked a better place. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU LOOK INTO THIS PLACE FOR YOUR NEXT AFFAIR.

Can I give a better rating than 11/10 … A+++… Highly recommend this location for large family gatherings, weddings, large weekend events, and more. My weekend wedding was FAR ABOVE any expectations we had! Where to begin…

First and foremost, THE HOST! Coltin is an amazing guy that was extremely helpful throughout our entire experience (from months prior, to the week of, and thru the wedding itself). He was a big reason why our weekend was what is was. Always extremely quick to respond and be of service. He prided himself on making our weekend/wedding as enjoyable as possible! He took extra care to show us how to make the accommodations fit to our needs and walk us through any questions/concerns we had during the weekend with urgency like it was his own party. (eg: helping me when the pool/hottub app wasn’t working properly or fixing the silent disco for our pre-party on Friday night). He provided us with tons of great recommendations for events nearby during the weekend, vendors, and local spots. He also has a few extra Airbnb’s within close proximity to Shangri-La where some of my family and friends decided to stay - they all spoke very highly of Coltin as well. For the wedding itself, he had a wedding planner/coordinator, Faith, who was very sweet and helpful throughout our weekend too, had great knowledge of the Shangri-La, and was a very fair price. Coltin was happy to tour the venue with us months in advance so we could get a full picture of the layout, the amenities, and present different ideas for us so we could plan accordingly. He is constantly upgrading and adding to the venue, so by the time you read this he may have added way cooler/better stuff (hard to imagine).

The venue/house: Everything pictured and more! Huge home - 3 kings, 7 queens, 2 full/twins. Spa room (steam room/shower and awesome massage chair). Upstairs and downstairs separate A/C. Two kitchens. Game room with huge projector screen and a separate theater room. Tons of games - dozens of board games, video games, high quality pool table, ping pong table, foozball, and poker table with chips. Massive backyard with access to dock. Kayaks, paddle boards, fishing rods, and lounge chairs everywhere. Large heated pool, heated jacuzzi, and waterfall/cascade. Waterproof tiki hut that easily fit our wedding party of 45 people with a dance floor in the middle.

Additional amenities for large parties: on site outdoor premium bathrooms with A/C and running water. Silent Disco headsets and 3 stations - if you haven’t tried this before - DO IT! Such a blast and with Coltin’s help we got it to work flawlessly. We were able to party all night and stay under the 10pm “noise ordinance” late into the night. When we were done, we were able to move the party into the sound proof second house to keep the good vibes going! He has two large portable glass door electric coolers - one freezer and one refrigerator for all of our drinks that we were able to keep by the outdoor tiki hut/bar. They have TONS of chairs, round tables, rectangular tables, and party chatchkees from previous events that we were able to use as well. It was great not having to search for vendors to rent these from. Separately: we hired an electric LED dance floor/DJ for the wedding itself, 360 photo booth, carnival games and a mechanical bull for the Sunday brunch, and a casino night vendor who brought additional casino games and dealers. Coltin/Faith can help you find any of these and others for your event.

The wedding was better than I could have dreamed of! We had our immediate family stay with us at the Shangri-La and other friends/family that were able to find killer Airbnb’s close by. It was a huge plus having 3 international airports close by since we had family/friends flying in from Argentina, Canada, and all across the US. We had amazing memories throughout the weekend and I would strongly recommend looking into Shangri-La if you’re considering doing an event like this yourself. Coltin, thank you for a weekend that I will never forget!

I can't say enough good things about this venue and this family! They are some of the sweetest, most professional and talented family I have ever met. The venue is absolutely stunning and makes for a great vacation home OR event venue. If you're a bride and are looking for an intimate waterfront wedding venue, I promise you won't be disappointed to book here!
