“We had seen on ABC Action News about them waiving fees because of an overabundance of dogs. We went down to meet some dogs with the intention of meeting one in particular. The staff was very friendly and helpful and let us know about some behavioral issues with some of our choices until we gave her one name and he has turned out to be the sweetest dog ever and sent to us I'm sure. The worker said she's never seen a dog take to people so quickly. She said you didn't choose him, he chose you. When she went to put a harness on him he might have been afraid she was taking him back to the kennel so made a leaping jump into my husband's lap. This place is awesome and they send you home with a bin & tote bag full of things for the dog. We couldn't have made a better choice on which location to visit and are more than overjoyed with our new family member. Thank you so much Manatee County Animal Services!”

“I visited the Manatee County Cooperative Extension Service the other day seeking helpful advice on a variety of residential landscape-related issues and concerns. I'm not certain what I expected to find (once I finally found the office), but suffice it to say that I was overwhelmed by the eager and enthusiastic welcome and the expert advice and assistance I received. Amy was particularly helpful -- and what a wonderful ambassador she is for the Extension Service.
