To the concerned parent from a previous review, I apologize that you feel this way about "PAL" and the school and for any misunderstanding you have about us. I am the President of PAL and I encourage you to reach out to me so we can discuss how we can be better about getting you involved. PAL stands for Parents as Liaisons. The PAL Board are the only officers who are nominated and confirmed into the positions. Every other "pal" is selected individually by their classroom teacher. As a group, we meet only to discuss ways to better support our teachers and staff (including teacher/staff birthdays, school wide fundraising efforts, school events, and celebrations). We depend 100% on parents to help make it all possible. We had just about 200 parents in total help make our Hispanic Heritage Celebration and our Halloween Haunted House/Trunk-or-Treat/Class Parties be the amazing successes they were. My hope is that any parent who has concerns or would like to get more involved feels comfortable enough to discuss it with their teacher and/or get in contact with me directly. The school is as amazing as it is because of the way administration, teachers, staff, and parents all work together and have fun while doing it!”
