A nice room. Paid approximately $200. per night total including fees and taxes. Dimitria at the front desk was very pleasant and friendly. The room was clean and bed extremely comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The location is convenient to the interstate. I was surprised there was no pad and pen in the room. The woman watching the breakfast buffet kind of looked at me like I had snuck into the buffet for free food since I walked in from outtside with my coat on and went straight to the buffet. The next morning she was friendlier. We had the room for another night and we slept in very late and the woman cleaning rooms on the 5th floor outside the door or in the next room cleaning was very loud - maybe talking on her cellphone while she worked (?) and woke me up with her loud talking. Overall a good experience though. I'd definitely stay there again and recommend them.
Staff was excellent, room was clean, and very convenient to the school where were competing at. Breakfast was ok and I did not have any problems during my stay. The hotel was quite and it seems to be in a good location as I did not hear cars roaming around at night like I do at some other locations.
This was one of the best hotel stay experiences starting with my arrival at the front desk.
The Front Desk Representative identified as; Duane was very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Checking in at this Hilton Hampton Inn, Newport News- Yorktown was very reasonable and convenient to the Naval Shipyard in Newport News.
I requested to extend an unplanned extra night in the same room during the weekend to which FD Rep Duane made quickly, easily, and stress free. My Navy son and I both enjoyed the pool and the included breakfast each morning. The FD Rep Duane is definitely a credit to the Hilton family and an asset to the Hampton Inn, New Port News-Yorktown hotel.
Stayed here for a weekend trip in October for a Busch Gardens weekend. Friendly staff, hot breakfast was a nice variety, changing each day. Room was clean, fresh towels and convenient parking.
Good service great staff.
Perfect for that weekend getaway. Runway is a bit on the short side.
Always a great place to land.
Quaint, professional, and very safe
