“Had our wedding here. Could not have asked for more. Truly amazing space. Lush greenery throughout gives awesome Jurassic park vibes and the waterfront hang out spaces are truly serene. Pool was great for kids and adults alike. Lana and rest of staff were great, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Interiors, grand lodge especially, are spacious and beautifully designed. Highly recommended! Give it a visit if considering - we were hooked after our first visit and it did not disappoint!”

“I had an incredible seven days of classes and on-the-water instructions from outstanding instructor Capt. Barnard Meyer. We were able to rapidly go from minimal knowledge of sailing to feeling very confident in our abilities. I was able to take the 101/103/104 classes in sequential order during the week. I would recommend this for anyone that wishes to charter bare-back sailing or just to be ready for having fun. After seven days of on-the-water training of man-over-board drills, tacks/jibes, you get very comfortable with what you have been taught. We were able to sail past the Key Lime Sailing Club ATON fixed beacons with confidence with narrow clearance. The trip up through the ICW (intercostal waterway) was an excellent way to measure our progress by charting our course and validating what we were taught. Please give yourself this gift, and take the sailing lessons that you will treasure. Bonus: If you stay at the Key Lime Sailing Club units, after you pass your 101 classes, you can take the sailboats out yourself for extra fun and learning, as they are included in the cost.”

“If you're looking for professional, fun, and safe dives with small groups, look no further! My husband and I travel all over the world to go diving. There are two things we look for when we are researching a new place. Small group dive charters and dive guides who are friendly, knowledgeable, and safe. Blue Water Divers fit this description, so we decided to book. We booked two dives through Blue Water Divers on two different days. It ended up being two different boats, two different guides, and two completely different groups of people. Both were fantastic! They took suggestions for some dive sites and adjusted to the groups preferences. The captains were so friendly and kept us on time despite some late departures. This has been one of the best dive charter experiences we have had! I know, there are a lot of charters on Key Largo, but if you book Blue Water Divers, you will not be disappointed!”

“What a nice park! I read reviews saying they were unsure what to expect, and I felt exactly the same. Unsure, and then quite happy with it! The small visitor's center provided enough geological and historic information to make the park much more interesting. The trail book provided gave lots of information on both the quarry site and the trees/geological features. We also met a friendly park ranger on one of the trails who gave us an explanation of the different types of mangroves. We did the Windley and Quarry trails as well as the Hammock trail. Lots of sun on the Quarry trail, obviously, more shady on the Hammock trail. The Hammock trail also had more mosquitoes and many large orb weavers. Very cool if you're into that sort of thing.”

From the communication with Shawn, to the agenda assistance with planning this surprise trip, to the hospitality, and friendship we left there with, Sea the Islands has outdone themselves. First, this is not your ordinary charter, Shawn is selective in who he charters, and rightfully so, the boat is beautiful. Shawn assisted in mapping out an itinerary that took us out to the sand bar, pull up lunch at Laura Lee Restaurant & Cabana Bar, and various reefs and stops along the way. We partied, enjoyed ourselves, and extended the hospitality to Shawn and his family when they came north. This was not just a charter, but the beginning of a friendship. We will definitely be back. Shawn last out everything you will need versus what they provide. Shawn was prompt on departure time and flexible to rearrange agenda items. “We had the BEST time ever! I researched a ton before choosing Nautical Quest and I’m so glad I did. Our day with Captain Spurgeon was perfect! I knew my kids would do best with a charter that had multiple activities. This was exactly what we needed. I felt like we got 5 days worth of activities! We went fishing, snorkeling, sightseeing, paddle boarding, had lunch, played at the sand bar. The best part was that we went to all these amazing locations, but stayed away from the crowds. Our friends had picked a different charter and all of their pictures are crowded with a ton of people and other boats in the background. Captain Spurgeon took us to our own secluded areas of paradise! Clear turquoise water without another person in sight! We are experienced boaters, but wanted a relaxing day to kick back and let someone else do the driving. The seas were a bit choppy but Captain Spurgeon is a great driver and provided us with a smooth ride. Thank you so much for helping our family make some lifelong memories!”
