(January 17, 2019, 7:01 am)Peaceful. Then in the distance I heard a cricket, and then like a wave the sound of thousands of crickets came in my direction.
And then just like it began, there was silence again.
(January 3, 2019, 5:58 pm)Primitive Campsite you can walk or kayak to. We arrived at dark and missed the sign which is in a little cove. This campsite is ~100 feet from the Rock Springs Run. If hiking you would have to hike from Wekiva Springs State Park because it's on the west side of the river.

Wekiwa Springs State Park
The park has two primitive canoeing campsites (Big Buck Camp and Otter Camp) and one backpacking campsite (Camp Cozy). All are located along the Wekiva River area and require reservations (see contacts below). Each are equipped with benches and fire rings.

Otter Camp and Big Buck Camp are located on beautiful Rock Springs Run. Travel to either site can begin from any livery along the Wekiva River Call 407-884-2008 to make reservations. Campers are required to be at the canoe camp site at least two hours before park closing to be permitted to camp.
