(June 6, 2017, 8:42 am)I love stopping off while paddling up and down the run. The run gets 5 stars, but the campsite less so. It is the best site along the run. Fire ring, benches, and a bear/ critter box for food and garbage storage overnight. Cons are the campsite is mostly dirt with sweet gum seed pods all over (i.e. spiny) making it difficult to find a nice place for a tent. Also, people need to learn to burry their toilet paper as a few feet into the woods in any direction is covered in used TP.
