“135 acre Island maintained as a county park. It has composting toilets, shellters, fire ring , primitive camp sites, and a hiking trail around the inside perimeter. It has a marshland around the outside perimeter. Wild life is abundant in the marsh and on the island. Oh yea , it is beautiful. You can leave from The Docks at Marsh Landing on Shingle Creek off of Pleasant Hill Rd for a nice paddle out to the island. Kayak and canoe rentals as well as guides available at The Docks.”

“They've got a miniature American Ninja Warriors course, need I say more?! what brought me to this park originally though were the tennis courts which were in very nice shape. They also have a playground for the little kids. It's not a big Park so come for the amenities I just mentioned.”

“Second time visiting and it was better than the first trip couple weeks ago. Saw a bald eagle catch a fish and land on the perch spot by the kayak launch on my walk off the path. Lots of other birds cranes and hawks all around. This place is a real nature lovers paradise!”

“Big park with plenty of picnic areas, benches, and concrete areas to relax and enjoy. Awesome area for a stroll or bike riding. Plenty of open areas to fish from the shore. It does get quite a few visitors, but you should still have plenty of room to enjoy a relaxing time. For people who visit and want to see a gator. Chances are good you will spot a few along the shore. Just look for them towards dusk for the best chance of spotting some alligators.”

“Normally great fishing! But I believe for the past month or so there's been a great deal of hydrilla. It's also a really nice place to picnic. My husband and I live just a couple blocks down and we ride our bikes quite frequently in this area as well as the Lakefront Park when there is no construction. You'll have to drive the back way to get to the actual Lakefront Park because Lake Shore Drive is closed for renovation. Lakefront Park is a lot prettier and wonderful 4 get-togethers, playing at the playground. Several Pavilions are available. The restrooms are very very clean. They do have a nice concession stand for quick snacks, Pizza, hot dogs, barbecue sandwiches, and of course ice cream for the kids. It is very easy to find. The fishing is very nice here as well. Enjoy if you're in the mood for a nice relaxing day. No alcoholic beverages and smoking areas are limited. Which I personally think is great seen it is a family environment.”

“Beautiful park. Very peaceful. Lots of forest. Has a doggie park, a kid's play area where you can also BBQ. It has a trail where you can walk, in addition to exercise equipment like a ellipticaland others. Really nice to take a walk alone or with your loved ones, your puppy or to exercise. Enjoy!!”

“This place has really turned around in the last few years. The new owner know how to do things perfectly around here. The menu is excellent and the service at the bar is precise, yet welcoming. They do rounds near the pool to make sure that we have everything you need. The pool is well maintained and so is the gym. Every now and then they is a special event for the public that keeps the family busy during vacation. A plus value for sure for the habitants of Artisan Park”
