Make sure you drink a few bottles of water the day before donating and juice (preferably apple juice) the morning of your donation. You never know if you will be the next person who needs blood or platelets and the demand for blood products is very high right now. Tip: Don't drink caffeine within a few hours of your appointment so you don't have to use the bathroom while donating.
