The Black Eyed Pea

Great little restaurant. Stopped in for breakfast... always looking for new breakfast spots. This one did not disappoint. Friendly service! Made us feel right at home. Service and food was fast and hot. Good size portions. I usually hate restaurant coffee. Theirs was pretty good.

Food was filling 😋 no complaints. Nice atmosphere and all the workers pitch in to help each other out.

Oh My, if you leave there hungry it is your own fault. Such a nice friendly atmosphere, the waitress is always so nice and thoughtful. Small place but lots of seating. Food is just delicious, the cook does an awesome job. Country type atmosphere. Parking on both sides of building. Even if parking lot appears full go inside always seems to be seating.

This place is a jewel! The epitome of what I look for when I'm traveling around Florida working. I saw their sign and I just had to stop in.

It was Friday, and on Fridays they seem to have some fish specials. I had the haddock and it was cooked perfectly, it's been a long time since I really enjoyed fish! Everything that I saw served to the other guests looked phenomenal! If my belly was big enough I would have tried it all ;-)

You definitely have to stop by and see this one if you're in the area. Be prepared though, it's very cozy and the people are very friendly! Being a stranger, a traveler, it's refreshing to be treated like I was one of their regulars.

Nice place to stop for breakfast. Not to be confused with the lesser chain restaurant of the same name. This little local joint serves some great southern style breakfast. I was able to get biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, toast and grits for less than 10 bucks. And it tasted good! No complaints. Small seating area and was pretty full of locals. We didnt stay for lunch but it looks like they have good fried chicken and catfish.
