Nice little park. I saw a few birds and a dozen larger turtles. Was there on weekday easy parking no admission fee relatively few people (for Florida). Nice enough place.
It was beautiful. It also has portable potties.. plenty of parking.. wildlife...

Nestled by the bay and south of Safety Harbor, Kapok Park is one of 5 cluster of parks that all connect together. This park has something for every age who enjoy being outdoor and in nature. The running, biking, walking paths are well paved and maintained, the boardwalks are beautiful and spacious for off-path exploring, the grassy areas are well maintained. Kapok Park also offers frisbee golf course that winds through the park as well the small island onto the it's lake. There is ample parking on both ends of the park. The animal life (turtles, alligators, and other smaller residents) are not shy to show themselves and seem to be not shy of people who respect their habitat. The trail can be enjoyed as a short trip around the park or as a longer connects path of all 5 parks that stretches for 6+ miles as a whole. The boardwalk leads through pond and marsh. The pond is lined with tall there's some evergreen and some that show the color change in cold weather. The park offers seclusion from the city noise while allowing for a sense of escape into the nature for a city dweller.
No frills park. Paved trail and good boardwalk. Peaceful walk. We go often for walking and fresh air. Handicap accessible.
