Palm Garden of Pinellas

My elderly parents have been in a variety of ALFs and I can say that this is THE best one in the Clearwater/Largo area. It stands in stark contrast with Madonna Ptak (check out my review) and even the ones that charge a great deal more (such as Sabal Palms).

We are so impressed by every staff member, from the gentleman who scrubs the floors to the department directors (and we met or spoke with almost all of them). Every one of them is kind, caring, and remarkably patient with not only the people they care for, but those of us who call with concerns and questions.

My only concern is that they are SO superior that it may be very difficult to get my father in there once more when we need them again.

This has to be a direct reflection on upper management. The other facilities in the area should ask them what they're doing and how they're doing it.

Rob in therapy helped my wife Donna Mcmahan gain confidence when she had no hope of walking again. He gave her a gentle nudge and joked with her and within 2 months she was walking again. Thank you Rob for all the help.

I have been employed at Palm Garden of Pinellas for five months, during which I have advanced to a supervisory role. The administration staff has been exceptionally helpful and kind. The management team collaborates effectively and provides strong mutual support. I look forward to a long and fulfilling career with this company.

This might be long but I have a lot of people to thank. Both of my parents were recently in Palm Gardens and out of the 3 rehabs that my father has been in prior, this is the only one that I would return to. I found all the staff to be friendly and kind. Peggy and Dana are so welcoming when you first arrive and are available throughout your stay to help. Robert S. The unit manager was incredibly helpful. He would answer my daily questions with patience and kindness. The therapy department is amazing. We did not work with everyone, but I can tell you that they are all friendly. Shout out to Janice for running an amazing department. To Amanda, Heather, Deanna, Robert, Lonnie and Kandice-I can’t thank you enough for treating my parents with respect and kindness. You guys are the best. To Brianna B.- what a huge blessing you are. Dealing with insurance and everything that goes with it is intimidating. Brianna helped us so much with appeal after appeal and dealing with those agencies. She is so knowledgeable about all these different companies. Thank you.
Was everything perfect during our stay-no, but that’s normal. If your loved one is a patient there you need to be involved. Ask questions, talk to the mangers. One of the things that really stuck with me is that if we had an issue, they helped us. They didn’t make excuses. They just took care of it. Our Aides that I saw the most were Angela, Beatrix and Judith. They were great and I appreciate them. One downside was not having the same nurse. They used a variety of agency nurses and although most were great, I would have liked the same one.

My father in law fell and broke his pelvis and came to Palm Gardens of Pinellas for his rehab. I just wanted everyone to know what a great place this was for him. From the help of Brianna in Social Services to Peggy the Administrator to Robert his PT and especially Beatriz his nursing aide. Everyone was fantastic and made him feel at home and took care of him like he was family. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs rehab.
