“First time at Uptown Eats. We loved the old Banyan Cafe so having another gem pop up in the same location is awesome. We’ve known the owner, not personally but through his pastries, for a long time, so we figured this would be a score. Uptown Express Sandwich’s got a big thumbs up from the kids, both of which can be fairly critical of a breakfast sandwich. Green Little Things bowl was delicious with crumbed bacon, although for me I would have liked a larger serving. My wife had the gravy and biscuit. Apparently they only have the gravy on the weekend so she went for it. You pick you liking of biscuit (she chose a sausage something or other), and then it good ole comfort foodin from there. I’m not a big fan of biscuits and gravy but both the biscuit and gravy alone were really good, so I’ll take my wife’s word foe it that the combo together were delicious as well. Will certainly be returning here soon.”

“Really cool atmosphere,.my wife has a cherished place in her memory for the Tampa location. I was hoping to capture video or picture of how they used to come out of the kitchen banging pots and pans and stuff like they used to when she was a kid and singing hillbilly songs. Her Mother would bring her and her sisters here and ever since she passed from Cancer this place became a sacred memoeym I tried asking around, but no one knew what I was talking about. “If there was any way to give this place more than five stars...I would. The filet mignon was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The lobster tail was the biggest and most succulent I have ever eaten. The grilled squid appetizer was beautifully presented and tasted even better. Not to mention that it comes with sausage and wonderful bay scallops. Mike was a wonderful server and made us feel right at home. I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.”

Not heavy, the sauce just perfect, the cheese, the meats it’s all great! The lasagna was delicious too. My 16 month son loved it for dinner and the fried calamari was so fresh and good! This is a great little place in St Pete and when you come ask for Samantha. She’s so beautiful and kind. She helped us ordering the food! Great service, food and I will be back for more!”
