I lived in pompano beach and every time we had school vacation or summer vacation we would visit Clearwater. I love this church and I always felt welcomed even in 2001 . In 2001 the church was kind enough to have my mother's funeral service , pastor vestal I believe was the pastor at the time,before him it was pastor Hugh Harris and his wife Polly. I remember Miss Linda actually sold her house to move down to attend!- attended since I got here to Florida since February 1999. Only a few years I didn't go because I moved near Dunedin to share a home. Keep meaning to get back. People applied what they learned here to their lives; so important!! “My experience of Beaming Hope is the day I visited it about 2 years ago and it is the number 1 church ⛪ to go to I am now a proud member here and the Pastor is a once in a lifetime amazing and blessed man and brother with a beautiful wife and family. And I went to five churches throughout the 20 plus years I lived in Florida and the first day I walked through that door and met all the brothers and sisters with an overwhelming warmth and greeting I knew Beaming Hope was my home church with the blessings of Pastor Joe and everyone there is so over flowed with love and loyalty.Beaming Hope in Largo does more outreach programs for all public and many social events with free clothing and groceries and cook outs and drawings of gift cards and shopping trips and so much more.Everyone is beautiful people who truly care. I was baptized there last April and I have been healed from many illnesses and I was on 37 meds a day and Pastor Joe told me I was going to be healed and sleep like a baby.Which I suffered with insomnia since I was in my 20,s and now I sleep 7-8 hours a night and I am down to 11 medications now and I can walk without a cane or walker.We have Easter coming and that is an unbelievable experience for adults and children of all ages with give always and egg hunts for all children young and older and Mothers Day is another beautiful day at Beaming Hope.Also give away drawings and I won one myself. And all the things that our loyal Pastor Joe wants to do this year with social events every where.Bills have been paid and people have even one a car and that is what I need.We do not turn any one away we welcome everyone because of our Pastor being so blessed and full of the HOLY SPIRIT every one there has been blessed and we are his Flock. This Southern Baptist Church (don't let that sway you - Calvary is basically an independent church but is part of the Southern Baptist Convention) teaches topically. Come a bit early for coffee and donuts! Local Pastor Tom and Karen Hudgins. Everyone very friendly. Main message is given remotely from the Clearwater campus. At first this seemed odd but at huge churches I found myself watching the monitors anyway so what's the difference!”
