Sarasota Christian School

My children are all attending this school and we have been involved with the school for over ten years. This place is a refuge and sanctuary for our family in a world that has become progressively more chaotic and uncertain. The teachers genuinely care for their students not just academically but also spiritually. I feel supported as a parent both by the teachers and by fellow parents at the school. The SCS community is definitely one in which you get a sense that we are all in this together and that we are supporting and encouraging each other and spurring each other on to raise and educate our children in a way that best honors God. I have always considered SCS to be a blessing to our family but I don't think I realized the magnitude of its positive influence in our family's life until the last few years. Grateful to all the wonderful teachers and dedicated servant-hearted Board of Directors that keep this school on mission.

Sarasota Christian School has been a huge blessing to our family. Coming from a public-school background myself and my husband from a private-school background, we had various expectations and a tough prayerful decision to make for our children’s schooling. I cannot express how impressed we’ve been with Sarasota Christian. Our two children love to go to school in the positive, loving, family atmosphere. With high academic expectations, the staff works with each individual child to succeed. We are most impressed with the school’s focus on an education with values that will help our children to serve in their communities, think critically and enjoy learning their whole life. We have become part of the beautiful Sarasota Christian School “family” and feel wonderful sending our children into an amazing place daily.

When my family and I moved here in 2017 we immediately placed our child in our local public school. At the time he was in 1st grade and to be perfectly honest we had a pretty bad experience. The public schools are very overcrowded, and our son was getting completely lost in the mix. We were really hoping and praying for a better option for our family. We happened upon Sarasota Christian and scheduled a tour. From the moment we walked into the school, we knew that it was going to be the perfect fit for our family. Every member of the faculty was kind, respectful and so welcoming. The admissions process was so simple, and the affordability was a true blessing. We always prayed our children could receive a great education, especially one where they were able to learn about God, and help nurture their relationship with Christ. The leadership in the school is the best we have ever experienced. Starting at the very top with the administrators who take the time to make sure each and every family is cared for, and the faculty that makes it a point to know you and always make you feel welcome, and of course, the teachers who nurture and care for your children and take a vested interest in each and every one to make sure they bring out the very best in them. You will not find better anywhere around Sarasota. We never dreamed we would find a school with this level of attention to each individual student. Our son has now been there for 2 years and has received straight A's, works hard, has made wonderful friends, and thoroughly enjoys going to school every day. As parents, we are incredibly thankful that we can share in his education by all of the wonderful volunteer efforts the school provides for us as well. Sarasota Christian is the very best school for our family, and we cannot think of a better place for our children.

We truly love SCS! This is our fifth year as Blazers, and we feel so grateful for this school. The campus is a joyful place to be and teachers and staff love our children and care about them. We have so many stories of teachers that have gone above and beyond for our kids whether they need extra help with homework, advanced work or assistance with an emotional need. These teachers make a difference in our children's lives. The head of school and admin team are true servant leaders and the epitome of Christian education. Our children are celebrated for successes, encouraged to try new sports and supported in their personal and educational needs. We feel so blessed that our children can stay on one campus for k-12 and watch their siblings rise up from grades and be celebrated through the timeless SCS traditions honoring different milestones throughout the years. They look up to the big kids and look to them for modeling Christian love and servant hood. The older kids, set a beautiful example for the younger ones because its "The Blazer Way". This is our fifth year at SCS and there are so many fantastic things happening. We have seen the school grow by leaps and bounds and there are constant improvements, including the new elementary building and an internal ESE liaison team.
