To Whomever Is Reading This: I came to Chris Vercelli after more than a year of failed attempts at physical therapy, internist, and chiropractor visits ("adjustments", muscle relaxers, exercises, migraine meds). At the proverbial end of my rope, I thought I had nothing to lose. I watched video clips of Chris describing MAT physical therapy and read articles about the technique and theory behind it. While I am not a professional ball player like some of Chris' former clients, my need for relief motivated me. Sessions were used for testing muscles, understanding what adjustments needed to be made, and providing the series of movements I would do between sessions. You have to do the work. You have to do the movements. You have to put in the time to get better. Over a few sessions, I felt something change for the good. At the end of our sessions, I knew I had found the way to control my issues, and more importantly, I gained great physical relief from pain in both my leg and neck that had dogged my sleep and waking hours making normal life a challenge.
Chris will listen to you and try to understand the underlying physical muscle challenge. He will provide movements needed to get the nerves and the muscles to activate the way they were meant to.

After being told a revision on my knee replacement needed to be done, I tried the standard PT which made it worse. MAT was recommended to me by a friend and I cannot say enough about what Chris has done to help me. From not being able to bend my leg to now being back on my Peloton, power walking, weight training and ready to skate—-it is all due to this amazing muscle activation technique. I cannot recommend Chris enough to get personal one on one attention and focus on what your challenges really are. PT may be covered by insurance but you end up worse, this is a small investment in your health and well worth it!
