  In my younger days I had multiple instructors in Uechi-Ryu karate in both Boston and Fort Lauderdale, as well as some brief training in Aikido and Tai Chi. As such, I have a good sense of what qualities to look for in an effective martial arts instructor. After having had no training or practice in 30 years I recently decided to take up Tai Chi to maintain my strength and flexibility in old age (I’ll be 70 soon).
  
  After checking out some of the schools in the Sarasota, Florida area I discovered University Tai Chi. After taking one class I realized I had found an excellent Tai Chi instructor. Richard has significant (decades) experience in Tai Chi, as well as Kung Fu and has been teaching for decades. He has a keen eye for watching student’s form and making corrections as needed. He is patient and personable and his classes are a lot of fun (as well as hard work at times). If you are seeking to learn Tai Chi, you need look no further than University Tai Chi.
