Red Plum

I’m so glad I took my girl here on our first date. The place doesn’t look like much but it is a clean and comfortable atmosphere, and the sushi was the best we’ve ever had! Lily was our server and she is super sweet. We ordered maki combo b, passion roll, Sakura roll, and lava roll and they were all a perfect balance of simple and more complex flavors. I was expecting them to all come out separately but they surprised us with this beautiful plate! I was so impressed and appreciative that red plum went above and beyond to give us an amazing night! My wife and I had dinner at Red Plum Sunday night. It was one of the best sushi dinners we had anywhere! We are long time sushi lovers and the quality and presentation at Red plum sushi and Asian bistro is second to none! We shared the love boat, which was a combination of Nigiri and Sashimi for two, and an extra Dragon Roll (the lo e boat came with one). We then tried the Uni (sea urchin) based on the chef’s recommendation. I had never tasted this rare treat and it was worth it. A bit fruity in its taste, unlike any other fish I tasted before. I recommend this wonderful japanese gem to anyone! Who knew the best sushi in Sarasota is away from the downtown area. Perfect! Exactly what i was looking for in the area.
I highly recommend this lovely place if you're in the mood for quality sashimi and nigiri. Sea urchin is always available, adding to a generally great selection of dishes. The atmosphere is both nice and cozy, complemented by friendly staff.

This is by far THE BEST sushi in town! Always fresh ingredients, great service & attentive staff! I can’t get enough! I’m there weekly to get my “fix”. I would 💯 recommend you check this place out! It will not disappoint! 5++++ stars

Wow! Just wow! The food is phenomenal. The service leaves you happy and feeling like family. Sorry I didn’t take photos before we started eating. We were just too excited but wanted to show everyone what they are missing. Don’t pass up on this hidden gem. It was the best sushi I have had in a long time!
