We just got home and this was the best vacation in a long while. Place was clean, cute as could be, and we may so many friendly people staying here. Steps from the gorgeous white sand, and just steps the other way to the pool. We love that it is far enough from the village to be out of the crowds down there but so close to the trolley you can be there in no time at all. Our unit was beautiful and we loved having a spot to hang our suits out back to dry after a day of fun!
This is the way Florida should be… not boxed impersonal hotels but one story, on the beach, friendly and personal. Great location next to all the conveniences. The issue in siesta key is parking & staying at the Sea Crest eliminates it. Across the street are restaurants, shops, excursions. Only go fight for parking at the village or other places If you want but it won’t be because you have to. Beautiful private beach, complimentary umbrellas and chairs. Sea Crest is a great choice.
My family has stayed here with in-laws over the past nine summers. I guess I'm just now getting around to giving a review!! Overall, I like this place, and I would go again and recommend to a friend. The location is perfect, you are less than 100 yards from the beach, you are about 10 yards away from the outdoor pool. Well managed property and always clean. I will say that not all of the units are the same. I think each unit may be privately owned and all managed by the same office. Just know that some units really have not been updated in YEARS, they are the same as when we stayed back nine years ago (VHS player and all). While other units have obviously been recently renovated and look very fresh (smart TV and all). That may not be that big a deal, however if you have in-laws staying in a nice unit versus your old unit, and you both paid the same price, one might feel like they got shorted and the other feels like they got the lucky deal.
My advise to management would be to push to have the older units renovated, or at least updated some (furniture and technology wise). Also, make sure the beds are comfortable. Some of the beds feel great and some feel like plywood with sheets.
Overall, still five stars, and I would go again. I would just be more choosey about my unit in the future.
