Professor Manny has cultivated a highly competitive gym that still has the comfort of a close knit family. The people there are great and the instruction is top notch. Good times, on and off the mats.

BJJ with Manny and Katrina, or MMA with Tank Top, I always leave feeling mentally and physically nourished. The nature of this academy provides that balanced diet you know you needed. I've seen all ages, sizes, shapes, and genders here, and no doubt, all skill levels. The atmospere breaths positivity, discipline, support, and direction, so it's to no wonder why everyone here is so friendly. I've checked out other places in the area to train too, and after I found out my brother from another mother canvased the area and landed on Team Alves as well, there's been no turning back. There's tons of classes to meet everyones schedule and skill level here, and whether you're competing or just trying to learn something new, the foundation is here. I could write more, but you should just come in.

This place is the best! I've been training here for almost 6 months, and the environment is great for people of all skill level and backgrounds. They have multiple times for classes throughout the day and you get a great variety of techniques and time to roll. They have kids classes as well . I have both of my kids going here as well and they both love it and talk about it all the time . It has a welcoming atmosphere even given the physical nature of the sport, and the coaches are attentive and knowledgable. They treat you like family here and Professor Manny is very attentive to the different experience levels in the classes and the higher belt students are paired with lower belts, always cool and down to help new students learn. There are a lot of higher belts to learn from but also a steady stream of new white belts, so it’s a good mix of skill. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to try something new or anyone with previous BJJ training to stop in.

My son just turned five and was extremely excited to try Jiu Jitsu . We found Team Alves and decided to give them a try! It has been the best experience! The staff and coaches welcomed us so warmly at the door and were kind enough to let him try a complimentary class! He loved it! The coaches, staff and other teammates have already made an impact on our son, helping him build confidence, focus and strength. We are thrilled to be a member of Team Alves!

Manny, Katrina and their son Dylan have dedicated their life to Jiu-Jitsu. They are in the gym 7 days a week ensuring their students have every opportunity to train in the Art they love so much. Down to the minute detail, they patiently guide their students and expect nothing but the best for everyone.They teach you skills that will prepare you for real life and as you come to love Jiu-Jitsu as I have , you will see how it relates to all aspects of life.
