“For 8 years, we’d been taking our 4 dogs to get their annual shots and heart worm tests and meds here. They had the best prices in town and saved us thousands over that time period. The vets and techs were always friendly and got us out quickly. Then Covid hit and they’ve disappeared. So sad, now I have to take my dogs to the regular vet, which costs more. Hope they get things back on track soon. On a personal note, some of the negative reviews here are ridiculous. We’re in a pandemic, people. That’s why they’re not responding. They’re closed!”

“It was a beautiful, sunny day in Florida when I suddenly lost control. I was on my way to the Venice Golf store when the aroma of freshly roasted coffee filled the air, captivating my senses. I couldn't resist the temptation and was compelled to turn around and follow the scent to Black Gold Roasters. As I approached, I saw people sitting at sidewalk tables, smiling, chatting, and savoring their coffee. They seemed to understand what I was feeling, having gone through the same experience when they first discovered the coffee shop. When I stepped into the store, I couldn't help but notice the massive burlap bags filled with coffee beans and the enormous coffee roaster where they roast their coffee beans in-house. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. I decided to order a double espresso and some chocolate-covered coffee beans, which would make a great gift. The coffee tasted absolutely delicious, and it brought back fond memories of my trip to Italy. Since then, I've visited Gold Coffee Roasters multiple times and no longer buy stale coffee from grocery stores. Give them a try!”

“Relatively small park with a 1/4 mile walking path. Along the path are small placards that show the historical development of Venice. The park was nicer, with more shade trees, before Hurricane Ian decimated many of the shade trees. Quiet spot in the "apartment district" of Venice. There is also a nice playground for the little ones. No rest rooms.”

The correspondence I have had with her is very personal and not a canned speech. She takes every question seriously; to make sure that you are comfortable with your travel plans. She has been very good at giving me timely information-for instance, Covid updates before my trip to make sure I was well-informed. She does a lot of traveling herself. “Dr Cuff is an amazing surgeon, a kind and caring person and a great listener and communicator. During my first visit with him concerning my torn rotator cuff, I had no doubt that I wanted him to do the surgery. He took a lot of time with me and answered all of my and my husband’s questions. He was very clear what part I played in the recovery process, what I should expect the first day, the first weeks, 6 weeks,6 months from surgery and the first year. He explained how important the physical therapy was after the first 6 weeks being in an immobilizer and how crucial it was to do exactly what he prescribed for rehab. He recommended three different physical therapy facilities in my area whom he trusted. I got setup right away and I must say, it works! I’m three months out from surgery now and can truly feel I’m on the road to full recovery. I’m so happy my swim coach and many of my friends recommended him. He can be trusted. He does excellent work. Anyone who chooses him will not be disappointed.”

“The location was perfect & right on the beach. The room we stayed in, unit 2, was perfect for the 2 of us. Mother & daughter. Clean & just enough space with a great kitchen. Only 1 downside was the pull out sofa mattress was so thin I felt like I was sleeping on the frame. Other than that everything was great. They even have a community room that you can borrow books, games & Movies.”

“Last time we went to Tomatillos, which was months ago, we really disappointed. The tacos and burritos were very small and warm. This time was totally different. The girl at the counter was very patient with me because I kept ordering each time she thought I was done. The beef, chicken and pork tacos were delicious. We ordered three of each, but we could only finish two of each. The burritos were delicious and weighed about 3lbs. Looking forward to our next Taco Tuesday at Tomatillos! Thank you!”
