“We walked into Dan's Fan City in Venice on 8/9/2021 just to look around after having been several other places and doing lots of online shopping for fans over a period of several months. We showed Jimmy a picture of our lanai fan which was an indoor fan installed outdoors by a brilliant [sarcasm] local home builder back in 2006. All five fan blades were sagging independently at varying down angles and metal housing had rust all over. They hooked us up with a stainless steel Tornado in about 10 minutes flat before we inquired about replacement fans for the other five rooms in the house. In about 20 or 30 minutes we picked out a Vogue Plus fan for the family room and four Starfire fans for the bedrooms and den. Yesterday, Tony and Cindy came in knocked out the installation in less than two hours. We could not be happier with the result. Now, we have a consistent vibe with coordinated style and colors between updated light fixtures and fans.”

“This place is a fashion sewist’s dream and well worth the trip. Each room is filled with designer fabrics from Italy, France, NYC and beyond. I thought the prices were more reasonable here than what you’d find for similar fabrics in the Garment District in New York. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner. I love the fact that they also offer classes, and while I was in town I took advanced patternmaking classes with Susan, who really knows her stuff. The store works hard to foster a sense of community with local fashion sewists by hosting a monthly Show & Share session. I really wish there was a Pennie Fabrics in my area!”

“Service Above and Beyond We really like our GE refrigerator we recently bought at Appliance Max for our garage, and feel we got a good price. The interior light doesn't always come on so Appliance Max sent repairman Nicholas out today. He resolved the issue (covered under warrantee). While he was here I showed Nicholas our dishwasher (not purchased from Appliance Max). The dishwasher was askew and sticking out on one side. He took the time to set it correctly in place. I offered to pay him but he refused payment! We appreciate Appliance Max for honoring their warrantee and backing their products--and we thank Nicholas for going above and beyond. PS: update: The light stopped working so Nicholas came out again and ordered a new switch for the freezer. While here he showed me how to adjust our ice maker in our kitchen fridge, no charge. So impressed with Nicholas and Appliance Max's service!”

They communicated professionally before the event, made suggestions for music, and even learned new pieces for our event. He's been a lifesaver for me, fixing everything from electrical problems to plumbing issues. But where he truly excels is as a carpenter. He remodeled the staircase of my 90-year-old home and showed great creativity in the design. He replaced several boards in an antique wood floor with such care, you can't tell where the 90-year-old floor ends and the new flooring begins.
