I can't tell you about the teachers, principal, building, etc. The children I read to are well behaved, listen with intent, and can answer questions about the book read. “I went to Swiss Point, and overall it was a great school. I had some problems with the other students, especially during the Ebola crisis because some of them liked to act like it was a big joke, but other than that, I have no complaints. Also the teacher's are not in fact racist or sexist like that Leonard guy said. If there are teacher's like that there, I never met them. It is however predominately white, and I did know a black kid that got into trouble for writing on a keyboard in pencil, but of course he was the only person other than me that had sat at the computer and even carried around a box of pencils with him everywhere.”

“My daughter attended this amazing school and completed her 1st grade there during the pandemic. We moved from South Florida to St. Johns and didn’t feel comfortable at that time taking her to the public school before the vaccines were out. I feel blessed that I met the most wonderful people that gave us all the support we needed during that difficult time. My daughter Sophia not only found her voice at River Oak but also had the opportunity to participate in innovation and entrepreneurship activities that were life changing for her. Sophia developed deep friendships in this almost “magical” environment that sees each individual as a person and their unique needs. From a learning perspective we had to supplement a bit some areas like Math and Science during summer, however she developed some amazing writing and reading skills at River Oak Academy using the “waseca” method. At the end of 1st grade her level of reading and writing was equivalent to 4th grade. Thanks to Mrs. Mary, Vincent, Vanessa and all that makes River Oak Academy such an amazing place for children. This is one of the “Best kept secrets” in Saint Johns, FL.”
