Everybody makes questionable hiring decisions. Evidently, the server at the drive thru window today at 2:01:30PM was having a bad day. She was impatient and interrupted me as I was describing the drink I wanted because I didn’t tell her if I wanted a “latte or what.” I explained that if she’d listen, I’d tell her what I wanted. When I got to the window, she placed that damnable tip generator on the shelf and told me there was a button I had to push or something similar.

I struggled to reach it due to mobility challenges and accidentally pressed a number I didn’t choose. I asked if that was the correct amount. She looked at the register and confirmed it was. By that time, the ApplePay payment had timed out. When she handed it back the amount was less than the previous amount meaning she obviously was mistaken when she previously checked the register in response to my question about the correct amount.

I processed the payment and handed the device back to her. She then handed my order out and I had to explain that I didn’t want to touch my food after handling the filthy device that had been handled by lots of other folks. That didn’t set well with her because she kept the food in her extended hand as if I had to take it anyway. I then sanitized my hands before taking the remainder of my order.

This is so unlike Starbucks’ service that I’ve come to expect. I hope she was just having a bad day and this isn’t her usual level of service.

Moved here from Washington state, home of Starbucks. I’m used to having many more shops available. I’m so grateful for the three or four here in a 6 mile radius.

Sam is the best part of my morning. Even when I’m having a terrible time, they are so kind and try to remember my order and generally just a fantastic person who deserves much more money than I can give them 😭 Also Reid is very sweet.

For the most part, I have never had an issue at this StarBucks, but this time, not so much. I was very disappointed with what was given to me.

I give it five stars because it was our first visit since we just moved here. I told the person at the counter to recommend something good, and he did. I enjoyed the ambiance, the employees appeared happy, and, of course, the drinks were excellent.
