“I have to laugh at the reviews here, obviously for the Miami international airport, this is a mostly abandoned runway for an airport started back in the late 60’s in anticipation of supersonic jet transport such as the Boeing 2707, this runway is a training runway and has no services, no terminal and no parking.”

“We used North Florida this past week to get to MD Anderson. Understandably, a trip that needed to be right on. Johnnie was responsive and accommodating. He even got right on our request to be picked up early from treatment. The van was clean and our driver Joe was capable and couldn't have been friendlier. Manatee Airport (Avian Vero LLC.) is an organization of concientiousness, honesty, quality service. In the ten plus years using this facility it has always provided a quality secure site for my equipment. Tom Reeder (Owner/Operator) runs a tight ship with an accommodating attitude. In the past five plus years he has made many improvements to an already fine airport. It is a small local operation compared to the near by SMA International airport. In my opinion they could use Mr. Reeder as a consultant for improving there operations and customer service.”

“As a passenger, this airport is great. Very quick, no waits, easy to get to. I flew out of here right at the start of covid. Best thing about flying out of this airport (like most airports that you would fly private out of) is the fact that you can just show up just before the time of your flight. No need to wait for security, and there are no long wait times. For the company which we used, we were taken to the aircraft once we arrived, and we put our luggage in the plane, and it was go time! If you are a passenger then customs (if flying internationally) would usually be done before you arrive by the company which you use. (always be sure to double check with your company). Airport is nice and well maintained, very clean and hygienic.”

“I went to a newly formed military vehicle collector/restoration club and the authorities were great to work with to allow us to use an area next to their museum. There was a nice sized turnout of Vietnam veterans to see what was being displayed as far as vehicles, equipment and uniforms from that 5ime frame. Hopefully there will be more of these events held on the same location in the near future.”

“Stopped through for fuel at International Flight Center. The staff rolled out the red carpet for our Cessna 310. They kept my passengers busy with conversation and water while I was able to tend to pilot stuff before giving us a ride back to the plane with a golf cart. Very awesome people.”

“Traffic jam at pickup. Mostly due to some vehicles parked in right lane. One was there for at least 15 minutes with nobody near it. And a police vehicle was parked blocking part of the right lane early on, no sight of the officer, who was certainly not monitoring 'parked' vehicles that were blocking the usual ebb & flow of traffic. I went from the cell lot to pickup, finally got to curb side, loaded luggage. Then I dismantled a cart, put it in my vehicle and pulled out. The vehicle in front of me blocking the curbside lane was there before I got the call to pick up and was there as I left. No sign of driver, passenger(s) for pickup. And no officer monitoring. But police were stopping vehicles entering the airport traffic pattern. Also, multiple vehicles parked on side of road leading to the airport. Ridiculous they have a great cell lot with plenty of room and easy access. I know. I was there tonight. My first problem with traffic flow in many trips to the airport.”
