“This is paradise for birds, just like the name implies! Debbie is so dedicated to these birds and stops at nothing, too care and give them a wonderful life. I've volunteered here twice now, but have known Debbie for about 10yrs. She's incredibly knowledgeable and works diligently with her local vet to give each bird the food and vet care they may need. She also has a dedicated program for adoption, and I appreciate that she assesses each bird to determine where they will be best suited. Either in a Sanctuary setting or in an individual home and put up for adoption. My suggestion is if you're looking to bring a special bird into your home, volunteer here and get to know the adoptable birds and let the adoption crew get to know you. Try not to fall in love with a specific idea of what you want your new bird to look like or a certain species. Because your new best friend will choose you and it might not be what you expected. Debbie always needs volunteers, and it's simple to get involved and help out. ** Pictures are of my bird I adopted 11yrs ago (not with Debbie at that time) and the joy he's brought me and the BEST companion I could ever hope for.”

We were looking for bunnies and the young lady that helped us had all the answers, directed us to the best options for supplies and anything she didn't know she asked her manager who was also extremely helpful. We decided on our bunnies and they were even kind enough to trim their nails for us before we left. Even helped us get everything to our cat and said if we had any questions or anything to feel free to call. The store has a wide variety of pet supplies, is super clean and the staff loves their job , it shows !! Definitely gained a customer for life. This is how its done. “Pet center had a larger variety of animals. There were fish, birds, and small rodents, including hedgehogs, chinchillas, Guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, and rats. Rodent enclosures seemed clean; a mother hamster with babies was properly separated. I do not know fish as well, but things seemed generally clean. I did not see any obvious signs of disease-- spots, discolored eyes, etc. Staff greeted us when we came in and worked quietly checking on fish nearby us in case we needed her, which is a good way to be-- available to us but not pushy.”

Went up there on a weekend with my wife and kids to purchase some goniopora and ended up getting more a few corals as well. I would have rated 5 stars but I'm not sure what's going on with one coral. We bought a $150 pink and yellow goni; wasn't open at time of purchase but we saw the mother colony and every other frag was great. Of course this particular goni won't open in either tank we have even at "ideal" water parameters. Goniopora can be tricky so it's probably not anyone's fault. However, I wish we would not have bought a coral that wasn't open. I contacted the owner and he was nice enough and responded quickly. Unfortunately, there's not much anyone can do so hopefully it opens; constant 78°F, 1.024 SG, .06 phos, 11.0 nitrate, pH 8, 8.2 Alk, Calc 430 and mag 1290 so not sure what the problem is. Not slamming this business at all; I should have known better to buy a coral that wasn't open. Would buy from him again, just wish I could figure out our goni!”
