“As a past employee, I can say that it has been my pleasure to work here for 4 years. The atmosphere of the campus is beautiful and spacious. Between the class sizes and the way the programs are structured there is definitely much more involvement between the students and teacher than you would find in a public school. The teachers are some of the most passionate and patient people I have ever met, and will truly do everything to give your child the education they deserve. In Aftercare, there is always plenty for the children to do whether it be play sports, cheerleading, homework, or just chat with their friends. The basketball team is also a great point of interest, as I have really seen students develop true leadership skills when they joined the team. They practice more diligently than any organized middle school team I was ever a part of and easily perform better. Everything about this school really provides the small community feel that I think many parents look for when searching for the right school.”

“So far so good. New to area. School is helpful just extremely large for an elementary and a little overwhelming for new comers. At least 8 buildings. Phone calls keep us informed on upcoming events. The two teachers we got seem really nice and helpful. Not sure on teachers for pe or art.”

“Mini Milestones Childcare Academy is a fun-loving, family oriented facility! I love working here, it is more like home than a "job." To put previous reviews to rest, no, our children do not get cold meals and snacks all day. We have microwaves and we heat up food regularly for children that bring warm lunches. In fact, we even provide a lunch and two healthy snacks to children that do not bring lunch! This daycare was opened in the middle of a pandemic so you can appreciate that we, just like the rest of the world, have all had to try to wrap our heads around something that NOBODY has dealt with before. We are constantly being told to do things and then they change weekly and sometimes hourly. Our parents have all been so great at following our requests and dealing with the changes that we have had to make. The CDC and DCF website, at the time of this previous comment, both said that children should bring their own lunches. Lunchboxes were not allowed in the building, Ziploc bags were. On top of that, our kitchen was simply too small to accommodate making that many lunches. We have not had any other complaints about the fact that we have stopped providing lunches, I guess this isn't such a hassle to the rest of our families that join everyday.”

“It is with confidence and pleasure that I rate Lana Jouk with five stars. She has obvious knowledge and great skill with the piano, and flawlessly uses her expertise to teach. I started my son (4-5 y/o at the time) in piano lessons because of his need to learn to sit still and focus, and because I believe piano is the perfect instrument for a child to start with. Lana is very strict, but very caring and encouraging. She was able to help my son not only to focus but find his gift for music as well. It’s amazing how far she’s taken him in piano and his own personal development, in just a year. I would highly recommend Lana to anyone looking for a strict, structured, yet playful and caring teacher. She’ll turn your child into a master pianist.”

“I know a lot of people teach their kids themselves or try at least or do basic swim classes. BUT, we tried that and if anything we ended making my daughter afraid of going in or evening wanting to learn. I didn’t feel confident in myself with the skills I know and her dad about water safety with little ones especially, so we looked up ISR. Aly came highly recommended by a couple of friends. I am absolutely so thankful we did this with her, she really helped my daughter so much with her confidence and overcoming that fear of the water and helping her realize she can learn the skills and most importantly what to do if she was to fall in or get tired in the water. My daughter would scream, cry..or even try running away from getting in the water, now she’s a pro!! I really doubted she would learn or even give it a try, but Aly didn’t pay any kind to that and got her through it. If you’re thinking about this course, I say go for it you will be surprised!”

“Wonderful high school! The "High school experience" here is something completely different than what most expect, on account of the small size of the school, the relaxed atmosphere, and it's integration of courses in cooperation with the Technical Institute next door. The students are generally self-motivated (especially those that attend SCTI!) and help promote a closely knit, accepting community. Many students that find difficulty "fitting in" in other schools find little difficulty in making friends here (because we're all weird in our own ways) The teachers are varied in their levels of expertise, compassion, and teaching methods (just like every high school), but most of them help in providing a caring, safe, and respectful environment.”

The school itself is a 5, but the parking lot/ drop off is CRAZY, not organized at all. I have to go at least 35 minutes early just to make sure I pick NY son up on time.”
